Kung Hei Fat Choi / Kiong Hee Huat Tsai! (Congratulations and wishing you prosperity!) 

This is the year of the metal rabbit - Chinese lunar calendar - and it means elegance, mercy and peace. According to the Chinese calendar also that this year of the metal rabbit is the most delicate or very emotional of all twelve animals. Even if the rabbit (or people who born this year) are always shy, tender and kind can be also a great partner in a relationship but having their own space is more likely important to them as well.

Year of the rabbits are born in 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999 and 2011.

Pandacan 2011 Events

As we all start the year with a bang! The people of Pandacan are gearing up for the upcoming town's fiesta. But before the fiesta starts, it will have some events to highlight it all for the year,

Here are the activities:

Jan. 6 Day 0 (Tue)

• AM BUDYONG: The Press Conference Launching all programs and activities. To be participated by the City Government of Manila, the Roman and IFI Church, the Hermanos & Hermanas and some VIP Guests. Venue To Be Announced (TBA)

Jan. 9 1st Day (Sun)

• AM BAYANIHAN SA PANDANAN; The Linis-Bayan Clean Drive Program. Bayanihan sa Kalinisan; this clean drive programs will be conducted simultaneously in all 43 Barangays in Pandacan.

Jan. 10 2nd Day (Mon)

• PM “AKO AY SK!” The Sangguniang Kabataan Show Down: The Song and Dance Youth Competition open to all youth and youth organization in Pandacan to be hosted by SK Manila Federation

Jan. 11 3rd Day (Tue)

• PM “SALI PA KAMI” The Senior Citizen’s Nights. An Evening of ballroom dance and socialization for the Senior Citizens

Jan. 13 4th Day (Wed)

• PM BALIK-BAYAN PIGING The OFW’s Dinner Show. A sit-down dinner and cultural presentation will be presented in cooperation with National Commission for Culture and the Arts among others. Venue: Dambana ni Padre Zamora

Jan. 13 5th Day (Thu)

• PM “RATED K”; Katalinuhan, Kagalingan, Kagandahan at Kakisigan. The 2011 Mutya at Lakan Talent Night Presentation. Venue: Central Street.

Jan. 14 6th Day (Fri)

• AM PANDACAN: MUTYANG BAYANG; LAKAN NG KALIKASAN: The Mutya at Lakan Tree Planting Project along Quirino Highway to be headed by 2010 Crowned Mutya at Lakan with the 2011 Mutya at Lakan Candidates

• PM PROSESYONG BAYANA Religious Procession of the IFI Church along with the farewell parade of the 2010 Crowned Mutya at Lakan with the 2011 Mutya at Lakan Candidates

• ANG MUTYA AT LAKAN NG TAON; The Grand Coronation of 2011Mutya at Lakan.

Jan. 15 7th Day (Sat)

• AM PANDACAN CHALLENGE! A 10 and 5 kilometers fundraising fun run in partnership with Runner’s Link

• PM PANALAGING BAYAN. The joint prayer worship of the Roman Catholic Church and the IFI Church

• BULING-BULING STREET PARADE AND EXHIBITION To be headed by Manila City Government, the Roman and IFI Church, the Hermanos & Hermanas and some VIP Guests

• BULING-BULING 2011 RECOGNITION CEREMONY

Jan. 16 8th Day (Sun)

• AM THANKS GIVING EUCHARISTIC MASS to be celebrated by individual churches

• PM THE ATI-ATIHAN EXHIBITION AND COMPETITION

• PASABOG, the Firework display and exhibition

Happy new year guys!!!
Last 2010 is a blast and a very busy year for me :P
One of my new year resolution this 2011 is to be more active on my blog :)
Hope I can manage all this stuff from work, home/family, friends and some of my daily routines and sports activities.
Well then, hope we all have a merry 2011!!!

My daughter Yzzy and my niece Bianca made me greeting card made out of a bond paper with their own penmanship greetings and some doodle of a heart or hearts and also a drawing of a family as my daughter explains that the family there is us...
